As a Teton Valley & Jackson Hole realtor, my job is about so much more than square footage and acreage. It’s about introducing you to the life you can build here. And a huge part of that life revolves around our world-class, yet wonderfully authentic, culinary scene.
When you live in Teton Valley & Jackson Hole, dining out isn’t just a meal; it’s an experience. It’s the celebration of a perfect ski day, the warmth of a crackling fireplace after being in the cold, and the taste of the fresh, local ingredients that define our region.
This winter, the flavors are especially vibrant. So, pull up a chair and let me be your guide to some of my favorite seasonal dining experiences, from the heart of Jackson to the charming other side of the Teton Range.
Jackson Hole, WY: Après-Ski & Elevated Mountain Cuisine
The Handle Bar

Located at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Teton Village, this is the quintessential après-ski spot. The atmosphere is buzzing with the energy of a day well spent on the slopes. Their winter cocktail menu, featuring creative hot drinks and local spirits, is the perfect way to warm up. Don’t miss their elevated pub food—the truffle fries are legendary.

Step into this intimate, rustic-chic Italian eatery on the Town Square and feel like you’ve been transported to a cozy corner of Europe. Their winter menu is the definition of comfort food, with house-made pastas and wood-fired pizzas that are perfect for a cold night. It’s a vibrant, bustling spot that feels like the heart of the Jackson social scene.

A long-standing icon in Jackson, the Snake River Grill is a special occasion destination that never fails to impress. With its stone fireplace and warm, lodge-like ambiance, it’s the perfect setting for a romantic winter dinner. Their menu focuses on regional and seasonal ingredients, with dishes that are both innovative and deeply satisfying.
Taste of Teton Valley
Just a scenic drive over Teton Pass, you’ll find a different, but equally captivating, culinary vibe. For those considering a home in the Teton Valley, this is a glimpse into the incredible value and community-focused lifestyle that awaits.

A true local secret that has gained a cult following. Located in the heart of Driggs, this unassuming spot serves up some of the most authentic and flavorful Thai food you’ll find anywhere. After a day skiing at Grand Targhee, a bowl of their spicy Drunken Noodles is the ultimate reward. It’s a must-try experience that showcases the diverse palate of our community.
This is one of my personal favorites for a night out. The Royal Wolf offers a local setting and a menu of creative shareable plates and craft cocktails. The energy is always great, and their commitment to using local ingredients is evident in every dish.

A story of passion, partnership, and pristine fish. King Sushi is the culmination of a dream born from chefs who value mountain play as much as culinary craft. Founders Jason King and Kaylan Fullerton built their expertise working evenings at a local sushi spot, fueling their days with outdoor adventure. That balance of precision and passion defines every roll and nigiri they serve.

Their dream became reality in Jackson in 2014, and years later, they planted new roots in Teton Valley, bringing their acclaimed sushi to Driggs, ID. Today, it’s a true family endeavor, with daughter Ginny often in the mix. Expect exceptionally fresh, creative sushi in a warm, energetic setting that feels like a celebration of local community and global flavors.
The Trap Bar & Grill
Welcome to the undisputed hub of all things après-ski at Grand Targhee. The Trap Bar & Grill is where the mountain day transitions into evening revelry. With eight flat-screen HD TVs tuned to every major game and the best ski flicks, you’ll never miss a play or a legendary line.
Fuel the vibe with local and regional microbrews, a full liquor selection, and signature specialty drinks—home to what many call the best damn Bloody Marys in the valley. The energy is authentic, the crowd is lively, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better après scene anywhere on the mountain.
